If you are planning on riding the 2018 MS150 or any of the other mass rides coming up, you should enjoy our Group Riding Skills class/training rides.  These will help you become comfortable riding for two days with 13,000 of your closest friends…and the emphasis is on close.

The instructor will focus on group communication skills, avoidance maneuvers, and safe and efficient paceline techniques.  Minimum attendance is nine (9) students. Fees for instruction is $35 per person per day, $60 per person per weekend or all 8 for $210.

For those of you who are required to attend by your team, you will get a certificate of completion (2 days of attendance required).

Assuming class minimums are met, we will offer this session 4 weekends before the MS150 on the following dates (Choose your package):

  • Sat 1/20 (25 mi), Su 1/21 (30 mi),
  • Sat 2/17 (35 mi), Su 2/18 (35 mi),
  • Sa 3/17 (40 mi), Su 3/18 (45 mi),
  • Sa 4/21 (50 mi) and Su 4/22 (55 mi)

The ride start will be at 8:30 AM and each subsequent ride will increase in length of time due to an increase in milage. Each ride will be preceded with 15-20 minutes of instruction on nutrition, technique and safety.

We are flexible on the dates and times if you have a whole team that needs to schedule a private class (subject to class minimums).
Requirements to attend include a working bicycle with functioning brakes, flat repair kit, helmet, nutrition (gels, granola bars, carbohydrate drink or electrolyte drink, etc) and enough water for the length of ride (some ride stops may be scheduled - check with instructor).

Please also look at our other group rides on our ride calendar if you'd like to get in some bonus miles!
