If you are planning to ride the 2017 BPMS150 from Houston to Austin or any of the other mass rides coming up, you should enjoy our Group Riding Skills class. The class will help you become comfortable riding for two days with 13,000 of your closest friends…and the emphasis is on close. The class will focus on group communication skills, avoidance maneuvers, and safe and efficient paceline techniques. The class last approximately two hours in the parking lot of the Tony Burger Center and will be held if we have at least nine students signed up for the date and time. The class is $40/$35 per person and, for those of you who are required to attend the class by your team, you will get a certificate of completion to show your team captain that you have completed the course. Assuming class minimums are met, we will offer this class a total of times before the BPMS150. The classes will be held from 8:30 – 10:30AM on Saturday mornings, but we are flexible on the dates and times if you have a whole team that needs to schedule a private class (subject to class minimums), please let us know and we'll be happy to work your team into our schedule. Requirements for the class include a working bicycle with functioning brakes, helmet, and water. Please choose the class session you want to register for by clicking on the appropriate link. If you are not able to attend a registered class please let Bike Austin know ASAP so we may adjust accordingly. If you are a no-show, it is up to our discretion to offer a refund or roll you over to a different class. Thank you for participating!
