Complete Streets for Brodie Lane

On December 22nd, 2015, Steven Guiney was struck by a car and killed riding his bicycle on Brodie Lane just south of Slaughter Lane. The part of Brodie Lane where Steven was riding is a notoriously dangerous stretch of road. With no shoulders or bike lanes, and sidewalks on only one side of the street, pedestrians and cyclists are extremely vulnerable and exposed to a significant volume of fast-moving traffic at all hours of the day. Steven’s family and neighbors are leading an effort to immediately add dedicated bike lanes and pedestrian safety improvements to Brodie Lane South of Slaughter Lane, and Bike Austin is backing them up.
