Last year Bike Austin’s partners hosted over 40 stations and welcomed nearly 1,500 bike commuters. This year we look forward to increasing those numbers with your help.

People are more likely to ride their bikes for transportation when there is built in social support. This is where you come in. B2WD Fueling Stations are HIGH ENERGY stops that help keep the momentum going! This is your chance to show off your organization’s personality while demonstrating your support for human-powered transportation!

What are the expectations for Fueling Station partners?
We want the act of commuting by bike to be CELEBRATED and the people who choose to do it to be REWARDED with tasty treats, rockin’ music, and high fives! Successful stations in the past have offered:

When will the Fueling Stations be open?
We are aiming to have stations ACTIVE from 6:30 am until 9:00 am. We want you to be ready to welcome those EARLY BIRDS, so plan to have your volunteers start setting up by 6:00 am (so you won’t feel rushed!).
Where will the Fueling Stations be located?
People For Bikes named Austin one of their 10 “Big Jump” cities for 2017-2020, with the goal of doubling the number of people riding bicycles in Central Austin. While the bulk of the Fueling Stations will be located within the geographic boundaries outlined for the Big Jump (51st Street (N), Springdale Road (E), Oltorf Street (S) and MoPac (W)), we know that current (and future!) Bike Austin members live, work, and ride outside of that area. We are looking for Fueling Stations to be where the people riding the bikes are…wherever they are!
