I’ll keep this short and sweet: I’m pedaling hard against climate change and I need your help.
Every day, the news is filled with heartbreaking stories related to the devastating effects climate change is already having on our cities and our world. But I’m inspired to use my passion for bicycling to do a little bit to fight climate change, reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, and to encourage cycling as a mode of transportation and recreation.
To do this, I’m committing to biking more than 250 miles in Death Valley next February. Before I go, I’m also committing to raising $3,500 for three bike-focused charities to support their work: Bike Austin, the San Francisco Bike Coalition, and Bikes not Bombs. The amount I raise will be split equally between these groups. (I am contributing to the costs of my ride separately and paying for my own flight as well as carbon-offset for the flight to get there).
I’d be so thankful for anything you’d be willing to donate. Any amount, large or small, is extremely appreciated. By the way, all donations are 100% tax deductible!
You can donate here and you can read more about my cycling adventures, including my Pacific Coast bicycle trip, here.
P.S. Please pass this on to anyone you think might be interested in supporting the cause!
